Food Truck Festival Coming to Milwaukee Lakefront Saturday

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Parks Department is teaming up with local food trucks for the inaugural Park’d – pop up pub & grub event on Saturday, July 17 at McKinley Park, 1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.

“Tomorrow will be a beautiful day, and this event is a perfect opportunity to support our incredible parks system by enjoying some local food and the lakefront before cheering on the Bucks in game 5,” said Supervisor Sheldon A. Wasserman.

A variety of food trucks will be parked between Lagoon Drive and McKinley Marina from 11a.m.-6 p.m.

The event will also serve as the debut of Milwaukee County’s Park Pub, a new beer truck converted from a 1960’s Chevy milk truck.

Supervisor Wasserman helped spearhead the initiative by sponsoring a 2021 budget amendment asking the Parks Department to hold a series of food truck festivals along the lakefront.

The goal of the food truck festival is to generate much needed revenue for Milwaukee County parks while bringing people together to enjoy good food in a relaxed setting.
