Fashion show fuses urban style, untamed nature

MILWAUKEE (April 2, 2025) – The CREO student fashion show will return to Mount Mary University on Friday, May 9, showcasing the next generation of cutting-edge designers. The theme for the 2025 event, “Urban Oasis,” fuses stark industrial elegance with vibrant organic flourishes.

Student designers will debut a variety of collections that merge structured silhouettes with natural textures and accents. Highlights include experimental “zero-waste” and collaborative projects with Wisconsin Sea Grant, an organization dedicated to eliminating plastic waste from waterways. The collaboration is made possible by a grant through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The show will also feature winners of the annual Uniquely Yours contest, which challenges high school students to creatively “upcycle” materials into runway garments.

The 2025 CREO student fashion design show will take place at 1, 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in the Alumnae Dining Room of Bergstrom Hall on the Mount Mary campus.
