MILWAUKEE, WI (November 4, 2024) – The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum has two family-focused holiday events planned for December, inviting Milwaukee-area families to celebrate together with fun, play-based learning and holiday-themed activities.

First up is Cocoa + Claus, a brand new event at Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. On Saturday, December 21 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Santa Claus will be stopping by the Museum to share holiday stories and take photos with families before he heads out on his big Christmas Eve voyage. The Museum’s Be A Maker Space will transform into Santa’s Workshop, where kids can build their own toy. Hot cocoa from Stone Creek Coffee and other holiday items will be available for purchase.

Cocoa + Claus tickets go on sale November 9. Early bird event admission is $15 ($8 for Museum members) if purchased online between November 9 and November 24. Event admission increases to $20 ($10 for Museum members) November 25 – December 21. A special event ticket will be required to enter the Museum on Saturday, December 21 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Purchase tickets at https://bbcmkids.org/plan-your-visit. The Museum will reopen for standard general admission on December 21 from 1-4:30 p.m.

The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum will host its annual New Year’s Eve at Noon on December 31, 2024 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. At this family-favorite event, the New Year ball will drop at noon, so families with younger children can celebrate the start of 2025 together. Admission is $20 for non-members and $10 for Museum members. Tickets are on sale now at https://bbcmkids.org/plan-your-visit. Advance online ticket purchase is required.

The Museum is bringing the beach vibes to this year’s New Year’s Eve at Noon event with activities including:

  • A beach ball dance bash featuring DJ Shawna from 11 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
  • A giant beach ball drop and juice toast at 12 p.m.
  • Face painting and airbrush tattoos with Life’s A Party Face Painting from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • DIY noisemakers and party hats in the Be A Maker Space.

The Museum’s floor exhibits, including Home Town, Pocket Park, Let’s Play Railway, Velocity and Hot Lava, will also be open throughout the event.

While normally closed on Tuesdays, the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum will be open for special event hours from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31. Members-only event hours will take place from 9-11 a.m. Information on becoming a Betty Brinn Children’s Museum member can be found at www.bbcmkids.org/memberships. The Museum will be closed after the event on December 31 and all-day on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
