Eric Hovde Hits the Campaign Trail Following Endorsement from Group that Compared Abortion to ‘Child Sacrifice’

By - Oct 28th, 2024 01:44 pm

MADISON, Wis. — As Eric Hovde continues on the campaign trail this week, it will be his first week campaigning with the endorsement of an “unapologetically” anti-abortion group that believes medication abortion is ‘baby pesticides,’ believes in fetal personhood, equates abortion with child sacrifice, and wants a total ban abortion from conception.

Hovde also was recently caught saying that “young college girls” won’t vote for him because they are “single issue” voters on abortion.

Hovde has said he is “totally opposed to abortion,” pushed to overturn Roe v. Wade, and would be a vote for a national abortion ban.

"We found it makes a tremendous difference when neighbors understand their community, know people, and understand their way of life. They can connect on a more individual basis. It is much more effective than just another campaign ad or someone flown in from out of state and paid to do it, when it's someone who actually has the same stakes and benefits as you. That's why we focus on neighbors talking to neighbors." – WisDems Chair Devin Remiker
