Dylan Helmenstine Announces Campaign for Wisconsin State Treasurer
BLUE MOUNDS, Wis. – Surrounded by friends, neighbors, and local leaders at his family’s farm, Dylan Helmenstine announced his campaign for Wisconsin State Treasurer. A rural school board member, Black Earth village trustee, and president of the local EMS district, Helmenstine says he will bring hands-on local-government experience and a public-affairs background to an office he believes can push for common sense change that will benefit families and communities across Wisconsin.
Helmenstine’s campaign will emphasize protecting taxpayers through transparency and accountability, championing unclaimed-property outreach so more Wisconsinites receive what they’re owed, and responsible oversight of trust funds through the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, which supports public school libraries statewide. He also pledges to elevate local problem-solvers, by using the office’s platform to highlight effective community work, and to conduct a statewide listening tour focused on the affordability challenges families face from school funding and infrastructure to utility costs and property taxes.
“There is never a time when the voices of the people of Wisconsin should be shut out of their own government,” said Helmenstine. “As State Treasurer, I will use my office to ensure people are heard and recognized, not the other way around.”
