MILWAUKEE, Wis. — DHI Corp, the Wisconsin-based home products company behind the Design House and Leick Home brands, has relocated its corporate headquarters to Milwaukee’s historic Pabst District. The move returns DHI to the city where it was founded in 1872.

The 4,500-square-foot headquarters at 1037 W McKinley houses DHI’s leadership, merchandising, and marketing teams. Approximately 25 employees will be based at the new location, providing better employee experience.

The relocation strengthens DHI’s connection to Milwaukee’s business community and talent base while supporting local employment, collaboration, and partnerships with area businesses and organizations.

“Milwaukee is an important part of DHI’s history, and we are proud to make it part of our future,” said JP Drevline, CEO of DHI Corp. “This move is an investment in our people, our growth, and the community where our company began. Milwaukee gives us access to the talent and business relationships that will help DHI continue to grow and compete.”

“DHI Corp’s return is a meaningful addition to Milwaukee’s business community and reflects the momentum taking place across the city,” said Lafayette L. Crump, City of Milwaukee Commissioner of City Development. “We welcome the company’s investment in the Pabst District and its commitment to creating opportunities for Milwaukee-area workers.”

From Milwaukee, DHI will continue growing the Design House and Leick Home brands through major retail, e-commerce, and distribution partners nationwide. Its portfolio includes lighting, bath furniture and accessories, hardware, and indoor and outdoor furniture.

DHI’s roots reach back to 1872, when Gustav A. Butter opened a tinsmith and hardware business in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood. The business later operated as Butter Hardware and the Butter Company, remained in the Butter family for four generations, and introduced the Design House brand in the late 1980s. In 2020, DHI acquired Sheboygan-based Leick Home, adding four generations of furniture-making experience.
