FLOOR360 begins makeover work at Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center on September 30, completed space reveal is October 13
MILWAUKEE, WI (September 11, 2019) – FLOOR360, leading provider of design-driven flooring announced that the staff and board of Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center will see their ‘new’
facility for the first time during a private event on Sunday October 13 after receiving a charity Design for a Difference Makeover sponsored by FLOOR360 & Milwaukee Magazine. The Design
for a Difference Milwaukee design team with the generous help of area businesses will begin installing flooring and their top-secret designs on September 30, and work around the clock
every day until October 13.
“FLOOR360 is looking forward to providing the first makeover to a Milwaukee area non-profit through our sponsorship of Design for a Difference, but we couldn’t do it without the giving
spirit of the design community and area business donors” said Kelly Kuehn, FLOOR360 Kashou Design Studio Manager and Project Manager of Design for a Difference-Milwaukee. Audra
O’Connell, Executive Director of Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center commented, “The staff can’t wait to see the transformation and provide a new, comfortable and peaceful space to
Milwaukee teens and families in crisis.”
The makeover process began in June 2019, when FLOOR360 announced that Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center would receive a free interior makeover of their facility. Soon after that,
volunteers from the interior design profession met and volunteered their skills to help re-design the facility. The project goes through four phases and the design details are kept secret until
reveal day on October 13:
• Planning – June
• Designing –July and August
• Procuring Elements – September
• Installation – October
FLOOR360 in Madison has provided four free makeovers to local non-profits since 2015 through the Design for a Difference movement. When the doors opened at the new FLOOR360 location
on Silver Spring Drive in Milwaukee, it was time to launch Design for a Difference Milwaukee, and select a local non-profit to receive a charity makeover in 2019. It is the intention of the
company to provide one makeover per year to a Milwaukee non-profit indefinitely.

participating locally owned and operated showrooms have sponsored makeovers of non-profit facilities in their own communities and shared the joy of giving with people who share a passion
