Dana Wachs calls on Rep. Josh Zepnick to resign following news that he assaulted female staffers
"Frankly, I’m disgusted by the accounts of Rep. Zepnick assaulting two young women at work-related events."
EAU CLAIRE – Dana Wachs called on Milwaukee legislator Josh Zepnick to resign following news that Zepnick kissed two women without their consent:
“Frankly, I’m disgusted by the accounts of Rep. Zepnick assaulting two young women at work-related events. There is absolutely no room for this behavior in the legislature or in public service. Given the pattern and scope of his behavior, the right thing for Rep. Zepnick to do is to resign.
“Legislative staffers often work long hours for little pay and are asked to attend events outside of normal work hours on behalf of their political party. These staffers should be safe and comfortable with the knowledge that they will not be harassed or assaulted.
“I’m deeply saddened for the young women who were assaulted by Rep. Zepnick and hope that they are confident that the legislature and the Democratic Party will not tolerate this behavior.”
