Crowley Campaign Highlights Record of Results That Delivered for Milwaukee County
MILWAUKEE – On the eve of Election Day, the Crowley for Wisconsin campaign is highlighting David Crowley‘s proven record of delivering results for Milwaukee County and the broad coalition supporting his campaign. Crowley has earned the support of Governor Tony Evers, labor unions, local elected officials, and grassroots leaders across the state who believe in his vision for the state of Wisconsin and know he can deliver on it based on a proven record of bringing people together, solving problems, and delivering real results for working families in Milwaukee County for the last six years.

It’s about delivering real results for the people you serve,” said David Crowley. “Over the last six years, we’ve tackled problems in Milwaukee County that had gone unresolved for decades. We strengthened our county’s finances, expanded access to affordable housing and mental health care, invested in safer communities, and built a more effective government that works for everyone. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I know that I can deliver for families all across Wisconsin as their next governor”
Since taking office, Crowley has delivered results across every major area of county government:
Fiscal Responsibility
- Solved Milwaukee County’s longstanding pension crisis.
- Delivered the County’s first budget surplus in more than 20 years.
- Reduced property taxes by $21 million, the largest reduction in decades.
- Created a centralized grants office that has secured more than $100 million in outside funding.
Affordable Housing & Economic Opportunity
- Invested tens of millions of dollars to build affordable housing throughout Milwaukee County, including in suburban communities for the first time.
- Helped more than 100 families begin their journey to homeownership in King Park.
- Expanded Housing First model that has resulted in Milwaukee County having one of the lowest unsheltered homelessness rates per capita in the nation.
- Delivered new tools and resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs through his Building Bridges Program.
- Created the Office of Economic Inclusion to expand opportunities for small businesses.
- Created an apprenticeship coordinator position to strengthen career pathways.
Mental Health & Health Care
- Expanded crisis stabilization services.
- Opened the award-winning Mental Health Emergency Center.
- Built the Marcia P. Coggs Health and Human Services Facility, the first of its kind in Milwaukee County.
- Deployed opioid settlement dollars to decrease overdose deaths and save lives.
- Established Milwaukee County’s first Chief Health Policy Advisor position.
- Led one of the nation’s first equity-focused COVID vaccination efforts.
Public Safety
- Secured funding for a new Public Safety Building.
- Built new partnerships to advance the development of the Forensic Science and Protective Medicine Center.
- Launched the Credible Messenger and Advance Peace Model initiatives to stop crime before it occurs and put young people on pathways to success.
- Launched the Vision Zero initiative to combat reckless driving.
- Created Milwaukee County’s first Motor Vehicle Collision Dashboard.
- Secured $38 million for the Sheriff’s highway patrol mandate to save taxpayer dollars.
- Coordinated the countywide response to the 2025 floods.
Transportation, Parks & Infrastructure
- Launched Wisconsin’s first Bus Rapid Transit bus line.
- Secured funding to keep the Brewers in Milwaukee.
- Invested millions in Washington, Sherman, and Veterans Parks.
- Created the nation’s most accessible public beach at Bradford Beach.
Good Government & Leadership
- Created Milwaukee County’s first strategic plan in two decades.
- Established the most diverse cabinet in county history.
- Created the Office of Strategy, Budget and Performance.
- Established the Office of Equity.
- Reestablished the Youth Commission to give young people new opportunities and a voice in local government.
- Created the Climate Action 2050 Plan to eliminate greenhouse emission by 2050.
- Earned Governing Magazine’s “Public Official of the Year.”
As Wisconsin turns to the general election, the choice couldn’t be clearer. David Crowley has spent the last six years delivering results for working families while Tom Tiffany has spent his time in Washington carrying water for Donald Trump and rubber-stamping the MAGA agenda.
The only thing Tiffany has delivered is massive cuts to food assistance and health care programs Wisconsin families rely on and support for a war in Iran that has driven up the cost of everyday essentials like gas and groceries.
Wisconsin voters have already seen what broken promises look like. Donald Trump promised to lower costs and help working families, then betrayed those promises the moment he took office. Tom Tiffany is offering more of the same.
Wisconsin can’t afford Tom Tiffany, and voters know it. That’s why they’ll support David Crowley in November, because when Crowley makes a promise, he has a record of delivering on it.
