Creative Grounds Vendor Fair in Milwaukee’s Harambee Neighborhood

A Community Marketplace With Vendors in Mind

By - Aug 28th, 2025 09:07 am

Milwaukee, WI – On Saturday, September 6th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kuumba Juice & Coffee and Uptown Society invite the community to Creative Grounds, a vendor-centered marketplace rooted in accessibility, empowerment, and local pride.

Hosted at Kuumba Juice & Coffee (274 E Keefe Ave), the event offers a welcoming space for entrepreneurs, artists, and food vendors to share their work, connect with customers, and grow their brands—without the financial or logistical barriers that often come with traditional markets.

“We’re excited to be hosting Creative Grounds with Uptown Society,” says Joe Ferch, co-owner of Kuumba Juice & Coffee. “We want the community and city to know that we are a space for collaboration, conversation, and connection.”

Vendor fees are intentionally low, with general vendor spots starting at $20 and food vendors at $50. Every vendor will receive personalized promo materials and a voucher for two complimentary cups of Kuumba’s signature coffee. Organizers are encouraging thoughtful, well-presented setups and will provide guidance or resources for vendors in need of support.

The vendor application deadline is Friday, August 16th.

“Creative Grounds is more than a market—it’s a catalyst,” says Travis Chambers, founder of Uptown Society. “We want vendors to feel valued and attendees to discover something new. It’s all about building up our own and doing it with intention.”

Whether you’re vending, shopping, or stopping by for a fresh cup of coffee, Creative Grounds offers a space to build real connections and support Milwaukee’s creative spirit.
