CoPA’s 8th Annual Juried Photo Exhibition at Walker’s Point Center for the Arts
December 5, 2014 – January 17, 2015
Milwaukee, WI – The Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA) and Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) are pleased to present CoPA’s 8th Annual Juried Exhibition. The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, December 5. Reception program will include a presentation by the jurors. A closing reception will be held on Winter Gallery Night, Friday, January 16, 2015. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, noon-5pm.
This annual exhibition is highly competitive, with nearly 200 entries pieces this year. Forty-three pieces of work from 26 artists were selected. Three of the exhibiting pieces will be awarded top honors during the opening reception.
This year’s jurors are Graeme Reid and Gary Tuma. Mr. Reid is the Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) and has over 20 years of experience in arts management and curatorial work. Mr. Tuma is a community leader and served over eight years as Executive Director of Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, where he oversaw countless art exhibitions featuring works by local and national artists.
Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to develop appreciation, promote growth and support the creation of photographic arts in the Greater Milwaukee region. Our goal is to cultivate awareness of contemporary photography through educational programs, lectures, panel discussions and exhibitions. Walker’s Point Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization in support of visual and performing arts and youth arts education.
