City of Milwaukee Invites Public to Open House Events for 414 in Motion Transportation & Mobility Plan
The City of Milwaukee invites residents to attend a series of upcoming open house events for 414 in Motion, the City’s first Transportation and Mobility Plan. The first open house takes place today, Monday, April 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Milwaukee Public Library East Branch (2320 N Cramer St).
414 in Motion will guide how Milwaukee designs, operates, maintains, and invests in its streets to better serve all neighborhoods across the city. The plan is using a data-driven and community-guided planning process to set a vision for the future of mobility in Milwaukee. Whether you walk, bike, drive, ride the bus, or roll on two wheels, the plan will work to improve how everyone moves through the city.
The open house events provide an opportunity for residents to learn about the plan’s vision and goals, discuss transportation strategies with the planning team, and share ideas for actions the City can take to shape the future of mobility in Milwaukee.
414 in Motion will outline key policy needs, develop investment priorities, and identify transformative infrastructure projects that support a safer, more accessible, and more connected Milwaukee. The plan will also include an implementation and capital improvement plan to make sure that all of Milwaukee benefits from the plan’s recommendations.
Milwaukee’s streets are used by everyone, which is why community input is central to 414 in Motion. These open house meetings are an opportunity for residents to engage in a discussion about how we move around our city and help ensure the plan reflects the real needs and priorities of the people who live, work, and travel throughout Milwaukee’s neighborhoods.
