City of Milwaukee Health Department Back to School Health Fair
MILWAUKEE – Get ready for the school year at the 23rd annual City of Milwaukee Health Department’s Back to School Health Fair! This year’s event offers free school-required and CDC-recommended vaccines, as well as school supplies in one convenient stop, while connecting attendees with a variety of community services and partners. Everything at this event is FREE and open to the public. All families are welcome.
Rain or shine, while supplies last, the fair will feature free food from Pete’s Pops and a selection of food trucks, including KT’s Wok, Twisted Plants, and I’ll Take a Bite of That. Families can also enjoy free activities such as roller skating and field games facilitated by Milwaukee County Parks and Recreation, chalk art facilitated by Marina Lee, face painting and glitter tattoos by Diana’s Snazy Face Painting, and exploring City vehicles from the Milwaukee Fire Department, Milwaukee Police Department, and Milwaukee Department of Public Works.
Families attending this year’s event will also be entered to win free giveaways to the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Milwaukee County Zoo, the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, and a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game.
Parents or legal guardians must be present with their children or reachable by phone during vaccinations. All children under the age of 18 who are uninsured or have BadgerCare/Medicaid are eligible to receive vaccinations at the event. School-required and CDC-recommended vaccines being offered at the event include:
- TdaP
- DTap
- Polio
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Hib
- HPV
- MMR
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Meningococcal
- Pneumococcal
- COVID-19
