Today Milwaukee Police announced formal charges in the homicide that took place on January 31, 2017 just outside the Garden-Fresh Foods facility at S. 12th and W. National Ave. in the 12th District. A 53-year-old woman was killed early in the morning as she was heading to work at the facility.

I sincerely hope the charges offer some justice to the family of the victim, and I want to commend MPD detectives and officers who worked diligently to solve the case.
