MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson is inviting residents to the 4th Annual Sherman Park Harvest Fest, a free, family-friendly ‘Wicked’ themed event happening Saturday, October 25, 2-6 pm at Sherman Park. This year’s festival will feature festive fall activities, live entertainment, community vendors, raffle prizes, and a special “Budget Booth”. Thanks to the generosity of amazing partners, attendees will enjoy free food, costumes, trick-or-treating, fall activities, and raffles with great prizes throughout the day. The event will be a fun, family-friendly celebration that allows residents to make valuable community and County connections. This year’s Harvest Fest is made possible through strong partnerships with the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club, the Sherman Park Community Association, Friends of Sherman Park, the Milwaukee Parks Foundation, and Herb Kohl Philanthropies. Together, these partners share a commitment to uplifting neighborhoods and strengthening community ties.

As part of her ongoing commitment to community engagement and meeting people where they are, Chairwoman Nicholson’s “Budget Booth” is an open table where residents will have the opportunity to learn more about Milwaukee County’s 2026 budget, ask questions, and share ideas for how to build a stronger, more equitable Milwaukee County. Joining us at Sherman Park to talk budget are the County’s Budget Director (from 2-4 pm) as well as the Milwaukee County Transit System’s (MCTS) Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Service Development.

“Harvest Fest has always been about celebrating the strength and spirit of our community,” said Chairwoman Nicholson. “By combining fun, family activities with opportunities to engage directly with County leaders on the 2026 budget and beyond, we’re creating space where residents can have fun, have their voices heard, and their questions answered.”

Chairwoman Nicholson also championed funding for recent renovations at Sherman Park, improvements that have revitalized the space and made community events like Harvest Fest even more welcoming.

“Sherman Park is a place filled with life and connection,” Nicholson added. “These investments are about celebrating what makes it a special, joyful, welcoming place where families and the community can come together, play, and thrive.”

The 4th Annual Sherman Park Harvest Fest is open to all residents and will feature games, music, and fall fun for all ages, with a “Wicked” themed twist. Costumes are encouraged.
