Center Street Daze Festival 2018

Friday, July 27, 2018 – Center Street Daze is a street festival held in Milwaukee’s vibrant Riverwest neighborhood, currently in its 21st year, Center Street Daze has been happening annually since 1997. Center Street Daze is operated by the Riverwest Business Association and is meant to showcase the businesses, artists, food, talent and other vendors of the Riverwest neighborhood and beyond.
Each year Center Street Daze grows larger while retaining its community-oriented emphasis and this year is no exception. In 2018, we will still be hosting events that are time tested favorites such as the famous Pushcart Race, Classic Car Show and family art activities sponsored by the Riverwest Artist Association . This year, we will also be adding a Free Throw contest for children and adults alike, hula hoop contest and food drive to benefit the Riverwest Food Pantry, an area for young local artists to showcase their talent and the Diverse and Resilient Robber Rover with games, giveaways and information as part of their 414ALL condom campaign.
Our music lineup is one of the strongest in the City. First, the Voodoo Honey’s Marching Band will be escorting all of the push carts into the festival. After the cart race, the music stages and other activities will begin. Lineups are as follows:
Timbuktu Stage (520 E Center St): All ages artists, dancers, fashion and more including DJ’s, Kids hour (3pm), Pulse MKE Dance Competition (4pm) and Chocolate Ice (6pm).
High Dive (701 E Center St): Outdoor DJ’s : Andy Noble (12 & 4pm), Selector Max (1 & 5pm), Brian Small (2 & 6pm) and David Arnevik (3 & 7pm).
Company Brewing (735 E Center St): Ruth B8r Ginsburg (1pm), Ms. Lotus Frankh (2pm), Shle Berry (3pm), saebra & carlyle (4pm), Taj Raiden (5pm), Klassik (6pm).
Riverwest Radio (824 E Center St): Broadcasting a variety of shows live outside of their studio.
Quarter’s (900 E Center St): MKE Punk Fest Presents: Florida Brothers Band (1pm), Breaker (1:30pm), Bill Dreamer (2:25pm), Some Kind of Nightmare (3:20pm), El Escapado (4:15pm), Size 5’s (5:10pm), Slaughter Party (6:05pm).
Jazz Gallery (926 E Center St): DJ’s in between with That’s What She Said (1pm), Wavy V (2:30pm), Dijbii (3:30pm), Adi Amour (5:30pm), DJ Dripsweat (6:30pm).
Uptowner (1032 E Center St): Stas & Micha, Mrs. Fun, Kush Trio, Klaus Nomi’s Homies, Voot Warning, Jon Burks Band.
