Celebrate International Women’s Day at NorthSouth Club
Never underestimate the power of a woman with an axe. Sunday, March 8th is International Women’s Day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the globe. Local activity bar company Bars & Recreation, Milwaukee’s hub for all things “play”, invites the city to celebrate this empowering day with axe throwing at NorthSouth Club.
The International Women’s Day event at NorthSouth Club will take place on March 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will participate in a 90-minute axe throwing session with a safety and technique training from an Axe Master. Complimentary mimosas will be served upon arrival, and guests can get creative at the Ford’s Gin & Tonic Lab. Assorted pastries are also included and prizes will highlight the event. Tickets are $40 per person, with $10 from every ticket donated to WGIRLS Milwaukee, an organization that works to empower women and children in our communities.
“Axe throwing is an exhilarating game of strategy, focus, and technique,” says Marla Poytinger, president of Bars & Recreation. “Axe throwers leave feeling stronger and more confident than when they walk in—which is why it’s a perfect fit for International Women’s Day.”
Tickets to NorthSouth Club’s International Women’s Day are on sale now at womensday2020mke.eventbrite.com for $40 each and include:
