Celebrate Diversity and Culture at VIA’s 13th Annual Silver City Fest

Experience the Best of Milwaukee's Local Talent, Cuisine, and Creativity

By - Aug 27th, 2024 03:12 pm

VIA is thrilled to announce the 13th annual Silver City Fest, an exciting event that brings together community diversity and vibrant cultures. This year’s festival, presented by the Ethnic and Diverse Business Coalition (EDBC) and AARP Wisconsin, will take place on Saturday, September 7th, from 12 PM to 5 PM along National Avenue between 32nd and 35th Streets.

The Silver City Fest, a beloved tradition, offers a unique opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the many cultures that make our community so special. This year’s festival, with its unique blend of local talent, cuisine, and creativity, promises to be the most dynamic yet.

The festival will feature a vibrant marketplace offering a diverse selection of products from local artisans and businesses, as well as resources from community organizations. Attendees can look forward to interactive art demonstrations, live music performances, and a specially designed children’s area. But what truly excites us is the variety of food vendors serving delicious international cuisines. From street food to local favorites like Orenda Cafe and Vientiane Noodle Shop, there’s something to satisfy every
palate.

Highlights include musical and dance performances from Sindoolaa, Pulpa de Guayaba, The Hungry Williams, Ometochli Mexican Folk Dance, Salsabrositas, Aparna Bag, and Milwaukee Flyers.

All are welcome to participate in the festivities of this free and family-friendly festival. For more information about Silver City Fest, please visit viacdc.org.
