Brews and Snowshoes Returns for a Winter Adventure Series at Wehr Nature Center

By - Feb 3rd, 2026 10:30 am

FRANKLIN, WIMilwaukee County Parks invites adults to warm up this winter with Brews and Snowshoes, a guided evening adventure combining local brews, nature, and winter exploration at Wehr Nature Center.

The last date from this three-date event series will take place on February 6, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Each evening begins with complimentary samples of unique local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages provided by the Beer Barons of Milwaukee, followed by a guided winter walk led by a Wehr naturalist. When snow conditions allow (4 inches or more), participants may bring their own snowshoes or rent a pair onsite. If snow is limited, the group will hike in boots instead, no experience required. A warming fire will be available after the hike.
“This program reflects what makes Wehr special, strong community partnerships and meaningful outdoor experiences,” said Carly Hintz, Director of Wehr Nature Center. “Pairing local brews with a guided winter hike creates a relaxed, social way for adults to connect with nature.”

This program is geared toward adults, though teens are welcome to attend. Alcohol sampling is restricted to guests ages 21 and older.
