MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers made three picks on the first day of the 2022 First-Year Player Draft, selecting Coastal Carolina infielder Eric Brown Jr. with the 27th overall pick in the first round, right-handed pitcher Jacob Misiorowski of Crowder (Mo.) Junior College with the 63rd overall pick in the second round and infielder Robert Moore of the University of Arkansas with the 72nd overall pick in Competitive Balance Round B. The announcements were made by Vice President of Domestic Scouting Tod Johnson.

Brown, 21, batted .330 (68-for-206) with 19 doubles, 2 triples, 7 HR, 40 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 57 games as a junior at Coastal Carolina in 2022. He was named the 2022 preseason Sun Belt Player of the Year by D1Baseball.com and Perfect Game.

Moore, 20, batted .232 (56-for-241) with 19 doubles, 2 triples, 8 HR, 44 RBI and 5 stolen bases in 65 games as a junior at Arkansas in 2022. He won the Rawlings/ABCA Gold Glove Award at second base, becoming the first player in Razorbacks history to garner the honor as the nation’s best defensive player at their respective position.

A 5-foot-9, 170-pound switch-hitter, Moore was named Freshman All-American Second Team by Baseball America and All-SEC First Team in 2021 after hitting .283 (66-for-233) with 10 doubles, 3 triples, 16 HR and 53 RBI in 61 games. He played in 16 games as a freshman in the shortened 2020 season, batting .317 (20-for-63) with 2 doubles, 2 HR and 17 RBI to earn Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
