Brady Street Pet Parade Returns for Its 21st Year
A paws-itively fun day for pets, families, and the community!
Milwaukee, WI — 9/30/2025 – Brady Street will once again go to the dogs (and cats, bunnies, birds, and more!) as the 21st Annual Brady Street Pet Parade kicks off on October 5th. This beloved community tradition invites animal lovers of all ages to celebrate their furry, feathered, and scaly companions with a full day of contests, entertainment, and family-friendly fun. The event is hosted by Mandy Scott from the Borna and Mandy afternoon show on 102.9 THE HOG.
The Highlight of the Day
The highlight of the day is the Pet Contest and Parade, judged by an impressive lineup of local leaders and personalities:
- Gerron Jordan, award-winning journalist at WISN 12
- Don Black, on-air host at Jammin’ 98.3
- Marisabel Cabrera, former Wisconsin State Assembly representative and now Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge
- Alex Brower, Milwaukee Alderperson
Contest categories include Best Costume, Tail Wagging Showdown, Pet & Owner Look-Alike, and Best Trick, with winners receiving prize packages, social media features, and bragging rights. The judges will also select one standout pet for the coveted BEST IN SHOW award, which comes with a prize package and a $100 bonus!
Event Schedule
- 11 AM – 4 PM: Music from DJ Adriam
- 12:15 PM: Pet Contest
- 1 PM: Pet Parade
- 1:30 PM: Pet Blessing at St. Rita’s Church, led by Father Tim Kitzke of Three Holy Women Parish
- 2 PM: Return to Brady Street to shop the local art market, enjoy vendor booths, and take advantage of special deals and drinks at Brady Street establishments
- 2:15 PM: Contest Winners Announced
Throughout the day, families can enjoy a pet-themed photo booth, face painting, paw print art, vendor booths, giveaways, sidewalk sales, and more. Registration proceeds benefit MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission).
This year’s event is presented by Happy Paws, with additional support from HiHat/Garage, Gruber Law Office, and Vivarium.
