Town of Brookfield, Wis. – BelAir Cantina and Brookfield Corners, LLC, today announced that the regional local restauranteur will be a featured attraction at The Corners of Brookfield lifestyle center opening in Spring 2017. As part of today’s announcement at the future BelAir site, The Corners also thanked and provided a fully catered BelAir lunch to nearly 300 constructions workers who are building the Center on track and on time.

“We have had our eye on BelAir for some time as the type of regional favorite eatery that people will flock to and that will help us create a sense of community for our guests and residents alike,” said Robert Gould, vice president of U.S. Operations for IM Properties.

Belair’s Brookfield location along the northwest end of The Corners Market Square is directly across from the main entrance to Von Maur and is expected to open along with the lifestyle center in Spring 2017. The restaurant will seat up to 250 guests and incorporate a prominent central bar surrounded by dining spaces that flow out to sidewalk seating and an intimate outdoor patio fronting the Market Square.  The interior and exterior bar and dining areas, with a mix of raised seating and intimate booths and communal tables, are designed to promote gathering and meeting spaces for neighborhood patrons and visitors.  Interior and exterior design elements will incorporate a mix of recycled materials and fixtures, eclectic artwork/murals and custom photography that together will create the BelAir Cantina vibe.

“The Corners provides an environment that we wanted to be a part of,” said Kristyn Eitel, Partner of BelAir Cantina Brookfield, Inc. “Expanding west into the Brookfield area is something our patrons have asked us to do, and this opportunity provides the atmosphere our diners have come to know and love.”

According to Gould, construction at the site is progressing nicely. The tower crane, which had been on site since November 2015, completed all high-elevation work and was removed from the site earlier this month. Curb and gutter work is nearing completion and paving of the lifestyle center’s road is underway and will be completed prior to winter.

“With top elevations of the center now in place and the roadways and sidewalks in final form, one can really start to get a sense of the vibrant community we envision,” said Gould. “The Corners will offer unique, new-to-the-area fashions, popular favorite brands, unique dining experiences, luxury, urban-design residential units and a gathering space that can help serve as a cornerstone in the Town of Brookfield.”

The Market Square is an outdoor public space within The Corners that will feature various programming and events, some expected to be in conjunction with the Town of Brookfield. According to Gould, they have not yet established a programming schedule but expect small concerts, art and other displays, sporting event broadcasts and more.

“We are first focused on getting the right restaurants and retailers in place, and then will work in events and activities,” said Gould. He added that he is also thrilled to have Café Hollander in a high-profile location at The Corners, directly along Bluemound Road, featuring rooftop seating for another unique dining draw.
