WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) joined her Democratic and Republican colleagues in reintroducing the Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2023. The legislation would allow the year-round, nationwide sale of ethanol blends higher than 10% helping to lower fuel prices, support farmers and producers, and provide certainty in fuel markets.
The legislation was led by U.S. Senators Deb Fischer (R-NE) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and also cosponsored by Senators John Thune (R-SD), Pete Ricketts (R-NE), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Tina Smith (D-MN), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Mike Rounds (R-SD), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Joni Ernst (R-IA), and John Hoeven (R-ND).
This legislation is endorsed by: National Corn Growers Association, National Farmers Union, the America Farm Bureau Federation, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Renewable Fuels Association, Growth Energy, American Coalition for Ethanol, American Petroleum Institute, SIGMA, National Association of Truck Stop Operators, National Association of Convenience Stores.
