Aurora Health Care Invests $1.93b in Community Benefit Across Wisconsin
Expanding access to care and supporting patients through financial assistance and community-based services
MILWAUKEE, WIS., July 21, 2026 – Aurora Health Care invested $1.93 billion in community benefit in 2025 — more than $5 million each day — reflecting its continued commitment to supporting patients and communities across Wisconsin.
“Our commitment to Wisconsin goes far beyond delivering exceptional care — it is about improving the health and well-being of the communities we call home,” said Gabrielle Finley-Hazle, president of Aurora Health Care. “This nearly $2 billion investment reflects our belief that healthier communities are built through access, partnership and a steadfast commitment to addressing the needs of those we serve. We are proud to stand alongside community organizations across Wisconsin to create lasting impact and advance the health of our state.”
Aurora Health Care is part of Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States and one of the nation’s leading providers of community benefit. The Wisconsin investment represents a portion of Advocate Health’s $6.27 billion in community benefit in 2025. Since its formation in 2022, Advocate Health has reported more than $24 billion in community benefit.
Aurora Health Care also supports its communities by providing free and discounted care for patients with limited financial resources, as well as delivering undercompensated care for those covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
Across the communities it serves in Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care directs its community benefit investments toward improving access to care, supporting physical and behavioral health, and addressing basic needs such as food and housing.
This work brings care closer to home and supports patients both inside and outside traditional care settings through:
- Mobile Health provided screenings, education, medication management and connections to care for more than 3,100 people through 412 site visits in Milwaukee communities experiencing the greatest gaps in access to care, in partnership with 53 community organizations in 2025.
- Aurora Family Service supported more than 10,000 families through financial wellness, counseling, mental health, family enrichment and healthcare access programs in 2025.
- Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County‘s Zero Suicide program completed nearly 27,000 screenings in 2025 as part of a comprehensive suicide prevention approach designed to identify, treat, refer and support individuals at risk.
