Assembly Awards Mount Pleasant Couple with Hometown Hero Award
Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) and the Wisconsin State Assembly honored Dan and Robyn Fedrigon of Mount Pleasant with the Hometown Hero Award. This special ceremony happened at the beginning of the Assembly floor session Thursday. The Assembly’s highest citizen recognition award was given to the couple for their work as foster parents. Over the past 11 years, they have opened their hearts and home to 100 foster children.
“Because of the opioid epidemic, the demand for foster parents has skyrocketed,” said Speaker Vos. “We are grateful that the Fedrigons have stepped forward time and time again to help.”
The Fedrigons specialize in caring for premature newborns and babies with complex medical needs. Robyn utilizes her medical background as a former surgical technician in labor and delivery to provide the special care.
“It was my privilege to present the Fedrigons with the Hometown Hero Award,” said Speaker Vos. “Their commitment to the foster care system does not go unnoticed.”
