Aspirus Heart & Lung Welcomes Taylor Townsend, PA-C
WAUSAU, Wis. – Aspirus Heart & Lung is pleased to welcome Taylor Townsend, PA-C.
Townsend is a certified physician assistant. She was certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul, MN. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Prior to her role with Aspirus, Townsend was the Physician Assistant for a neonatal intensive care unit at Essentia Health, Fargo ND. and a clinical research coordinator for the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.
Townsend’s special interests include clinical research relating to thoracic oncology, public health, infectious disease, pediatrics, and embryology.
“My goal is to proactively partner with my patients to engage them in their journey to health and wellness,” said Townsend.
Townsend is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics and American Academy of Pediatrics.
After spending 10 years away for school, Townsend is returning to Wausau, where she grew up. She is happy to come back where she can be closer to her family. In her leisure time, Townsend enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and crafting.
