Announcing WEDC’S Upcoming Trade Ventures Schedule

State companies invited to attend 2016-17 trade ventures

MADISON, WI. May 18, 2016—the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) announces the schedule of global trade ventures for 2016-17.

Traveling to markets around the world is critical for companies that wish to export: it allows companies not only to gain firsthand knowledge of the competitive environment in those markets, but to develop strong working relationships with key customers and partners. Many cultures around the world place a greater emphasis on face-to-face meetings, especially in the early stages of a business relationship, than we do in the U.S.

Whether a business seeks customers or distributors (or both) to help expand its global reach, WEDC’s global trade ventures are targeted to markets that are well suited to Wisconsin companies and will help build the relationships necessary for increased international sales.

Please consider joining us on any of these upcoming trade ventures.

GLOBAL TRADE VENTURE: ARGENTINA AND CHILE

Buenos Aires and Santiago, Sept. 24-30, 2016

GLOBAL TRADE VENTURE: INDIA

As members of the Wisconsin delegation, participants in each global trade venture will receive a high-level country briefing from WEDC’s market development director before commencing a well-organized tour of the destination markets. At each stop, participants take part in pre-arranged, customized meetings with companies whose needs or capabilities align with the Wisconsin’ companies’ own export objectives. With the logistics taken care of, companies can focus on business matters.
