An Afternoon of Pumpkin Painting in the East Side Art Lot
A day of pumpkins, paint, hot drinks, and music is coming to the East Side Art Lot
Milwaukee, WI – The East Side Business Improvement District (BID) will host a Fall-themed pumpkin painting event on Saturday, October 24th from noon to 4pm in the new East Side Art Lot. The event is a result of the desire for COVID-19 friendly Fall activities that take advantage of the space local artists helped to create.
Pumpkin Painting in the East Side Art Lot will allow event-goers an hour and a half to pick a pumpkin, choose from a full array of paint, get creative with their designs, and sip on a small hot cocoa or cider while enjoying live local music. Larger servings of hot chocolate and hot cider will be available for purchase, as will limited quantities of paint brushes. (Brushes will not be shared due to COVID precautions.) To maintain social distancing and allow for sufficient sanitization, there will be two 1.5-hour time slots, reservable online. A coat check-style “Pumpkin Check” will also allow early attendees to leave their painted pumpkin so they can explore the neighborhood and surrounding businesses. Groups interested in attending the event are encouraged to reserve their spot via Eventbrite, as space is limited.
Tickets for the event are $15 per person, with a $10 Bring Your Own Pumpkin (BYOP) option. All of the ticket, reservation, and event details can be found on our website, https://www.theeastside.org/happenings/east-side-art-lot.html, or the Eventbrite page at https://pumpkinpaintinginthelot.eventbrite.com.
