Madison, WI – In his State of the State Address tonight, Governor Evers declared 2025 as “the Year of the Kid,” but failed to support education freedom which gives every child the opportunity to succeed.

AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak released the following statement:

“During his address, Governor Evers claims he wants to do what’s best for our students, but remained silent on the critical issue of education freedom in Wisconsin.

“In order for our students to reach their full potential, families deserve access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to choose what best fits their educational needs. AFP-WI remains committed to advocating for education freedom and working with lawmakers to ensure parents, not government, are in the driver’s seats of their child’s education and empowered to choose what helps them succeed.”

Through broad-based grassroots outreach, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is driving long-term solutions to the country’s biggest problems.
