According to the US Census Bureau, approximately 28% of Milwaukee County residents live in poverty. However, many people outside this group have no idea what poverty feels like.
Plated, is a powerful event designed to change that.

On Thursday, April 25, The Social Development Foundation will host a unique, interactive experience in which everyone lives in poverty. With “role-playing” and the guidance of University of Wisconsin Milwaukee experts, Plated participants will actually feel what people experience in poverty.
