NAMI (The National Allliance on Mental Illness) Southeast Wisconsin provides free support groups, classes, community education, youth mental health outreach, crisis intervention training, suicide prevention training and more for Milwaukee, Waukesha and Jefferson Counties.

Our annual NAMIWalks mental health awareness event is on October 7 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. This annual fundraiser usually hosts 800 participants and seeks to unify community members, friends, families, businesses and non-profits. We bring awareness to the importance of mental health and end the stigma by showing up publicly for those we love and those we may have lost. And, it’s really fun!

October 7th is also family free day at the zoo so we have a unique opportunity to reach more folks than ever before with our mental health awareness. All donations raised through this event stay in our community and fund our free resources and programs.

We would love to have new participants, teams, volunteers, sponsors etc. to help amplify this message of hope and end the stigma around mental illness. We would be honored to have you walk alongside us!
