NAMI Family & Friends is a free seminar that informs family and friends of those with mental health conditions how to best support their loved ones.
NAMI Family & Friends is led by trained instructors with lived experience supporting a loved one with a mental health condition. This is also an opportunity to meet other people in similar situations and gain community support.
This seminar will be offered ONLINE and will be done in two sessions at two hours each. Instructors will walk you through the following topics:
Understanding diagnoses, treatment and recovery, Effective communication strategies,
The importance of self-care Crisis preparation strategies NAMI and community resources
