WorkShift

WorkShift will be a social gig app, connecting workers in the service industry with restaurants/hospitality groups to fill in-demand shifts. With the current service industry crisis, and while restaurants are finding new ways to rebound as quickly as possible, the workers are also in need of finding ways to make ends meet. WorkShift will help local businesses tap into a talented pool of workers for immediate open shifts, without needing to hire in-house, especially during a time where they are still struggling to manage their internal operations and overhead. WorkShift Workers will enjoy flexibility, ability to pick up work quickly, and earn money. The future of work is shifting…where technology, combined with flexibility and ability to for people to earn a living through gigs will drive our economy. The gig economy is projected to grow by 43% in 2020, and nearly 50% of all Millennial use gig economy platforms to find work.

WorkShift is hopeful to find partners through Fund Milwaukee to help launch the App that will drive economic impact, innovation, and tap into the future of work in Milwaukee.
