The Chords & Curds Festival featuring Milwaukee-based musicians, local artisans and food trucks will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24 on the plaza at Fiserv Forum. Hosted and produced by Fiserv Forum and Deer District, the all-day event includes gospel, blues, funk and soul acts among other genres.
The musical lineup consists of dance/R&B group New Age Narcissism, guitarist Angie Swan, R&B/soul songstress Grace Weber, jazz band Christopher’s Project, 10-piece Latin jazz ensemble De La Buena, blues guitarist Misha Siegfried and DJ Avets. The Milwaukee Public Schools Community Gospel Choir will open the festival with a special performance.
Festivalgoers can expect to indulge in a variety of diverse food from Foxfire Food Truck, Lola’s Empanadas, Iron Grate BBQ Co., Jamaican restaurant Uppa Yard, and MKEat, Fiserv Forum’s locally-focused food and beverage program.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and people over 65. The exclusive VIP experience is $75 and includes a fast lane exclusive entrance into the festival, a private, air-conditioned area, brunch offered from noon to 3 p.m., dinner offered from 6 to 9 p.m., and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.
