This isn’t your average dinner.
Cell to Table is a live storytelling experience—a blend of theatrical performance and shared meal that brings to life the resilience, creativity, and contradictions of prison food culture. This is part of our Breaking Bread in the Day Room series that we created in 2024 with Love Cafe.
Featuring a four-course tribute to carceral cuisine by Chef Juniel Cabreza and Chef Caitlin Cullen, and special guests Grammy-nominated Faylita Hicks and Writer and Food Truck owner Haisan Williams, Cell to Table offers food for thought that takes the audience on a journey through the the past, the present, and the possible of the criminal legal system. Come explore how we can create a justice system worthy of that name.
