Milwaukee Art Escape Invites Visitors to Discover the City’s Vibrant Arts & Culture Scene
New regional campaign showcases Milwaukee's museums, public art, cultural destinations, and exclusive visitor experiences from August 21 through October 6.
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Sculpture Milwaukee launches Milwaukee Art Escape, a citywide cultural tourism campaign supported by Travel Wisconsin and Baird, inviting visitors to experience Milwaukee’s creativity, history, and culture. Running from August 21 through October 6, 2026, Milwaukee Art Escape brings together museums, galleries, sculpture gardens, public art, historic sites, hospitality, retail, and cultural organizations to encourage visitors to explore more, stay longer, and experience Milwaukee through the arts.
Visitors can create their own arts itinerary with the free Milwaukee Art Escape Passport. They can also enjoy exclusive offers, recommended dining and cultural experiences, and explore neighborhoods. Some participating locations offer prize giveaways celebrating Milwaukee’s vibrant arts community.
Participating organizations include Sculpture Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, Lynden Sculpture Garden, Haggerty Museum of Art, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design Galleries, and many other cultural, transportation, retail, and hospitality partners working together to showcase Milwaukee as a premier arts and culture destination.
“There are so many great cultural institutions in Milwaukee, and collectively we are building a culture of collaboration,” said John Riepenhoff, Executive Director of Sculpture Milwaukee. “By working together, we are increasing the visibility of the arts and sharing our Milwaukee art experience with visitors from Chicago, Madison, and beyond. This is also an occasion for Milwaukeeans to take stock, show off, and share what we have.”
Milwaukee Art Escape is designed for regional travelers from Chicago, Madison, and throughout Wisconsin, as well as Milwaukee residents looking to discover new experiences in their own city. Whether planning a weekend getaway or a day trip, visitors will find opportunities to experience world-class exhibitions, outdoor sculpture, historic architecture, lakefront attractions, local dining, and unique cultural destinations.
Throughout the campaign, participating partners will offer exclusive experiences and incentives, making it easy for visitors to create a personalized Milwaukee arts adventure while discovering the city’s diverse neighborhoods and creative spirit.
