Sen. Carpenter: An Additional Democratic Debate Would Benefit the Voters
Today, State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) issued the following statement regarding the value of an additional debate between the Democratic candidates running for Governor to follow the already scheduled debate hosted by WISN12 News on July 28th at 7pm:
“I am calling on the candidates in the Democratic primary for Governor to organize an additional debate in early August to give the voters more time to become familiar with them and their stances.
“I and the majority of the people I have spoken with are still undecided about who they will vote for, and I believe an additional televised debate would be helpful for voters so they can compare the candidates’ stances and make a well-informed decision about who is the most prepared to hold the highest office in our state.”
