Giving Day Returns to Concordia University Wisconsin with “March MATCHness” on March 25
Attached you will find a press release with full details, including how the day works, key initiatives being supported, and opportunities for matching gifts that amplify donor impact.
MEQUON, Wis. — March 20, 2026 — Concordia University Wisconsin is inviting the local community to make a lasting impact in the lives of students during its sixth annual Giving Day on Wednesday, March 25.
The 24-hour initiative, known as March MATCHness, brings alumni, friends, families and neighbors together in a shared effort to support Concordia and the students who call it home. Because the campaign lasts just one day, it offers a unique opportunity for the community to come together and create immediate impact for Concordia students.
Throughout the day, a series of matching challenges will multiply the impact of every gift, meaning donations can be doubled or even tripled thanks to generous Concordia supporters.
“March MATCHness shows what is possible when a community rallies around a shared mission,” said Tim Brever, interim vice president of the Office of Advancement. “Each gift helps equip our students with the education, mentorship and opportunities they need to serve others and lead meaningful lives.”
Donations made during Giving Day support the Concordia Fund, which helps bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of educating each student. Gifts to the fund provide critical support for scholarships, campus programs and resources that enhance the student experience.
The day is designed for everyone to participate — including those giving for the first time.
“Whether it’s $10, $25 or more, every gift matters,” Brever said. “When the community comes together, those gifts add up to real opportunities for our students.”
Gifts made during March MATCHness help ensure Concordia students have access to scholarships, hands-on learning opportunities and a Christ-centered education where faith and knowledge intersect, preparing them to serve their neighbors and communities with purpose.
Along with financial support, the community is invited to pray for students, faculty, staff and the continued success of the university’s mission of developing students in mind, body and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.
Community members who want to support Concordia students are invited to make a gift during the 24-hour event on March 25 at www.givingday.cuw.edu.
