Ron Johnson Disgraces Veterans and Derrick Van Orden Doesn’t Say a Word

MADISON, Wis. — A week ago today, while American soldiers were dying in the Trump administration’s illegal war in Iran, Ron Johnson went on Newsmax and shamefully disgraced Democratic veterans by calling them “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” Wisconsin representative Derrick Van Orden, who claims to be a fierce defender of American veterans, has refused to call out or condemn Johnson’s vile remarks.

“Derrick Van Orden has tweeted 144 times in the past week, and not one of them has been in defense of the veterans Ron Johnson so callously disgraced,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Rachel La Due. “For a man who spends the majority of the day yelling from his keyboard, it shows that Derrick Van Orden, who has his own history of attacking service members, sees veterans as nothing more than a prop. Instead of continuing to bend his knee to President Bone-Spurs and his band of lackeys, Derrick Van Orden should stand with those who put their life on the line, not with Ron Johnson.”
