PSI Chairman Johnson, Sen. Rick Scott Request Records from LADWP for Congressional Investigation into Pacific Palisades Wildfire
WASHINGTON – Today, Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and U.S. Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) sent a letter to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) requesting records and information related to LADWP’s preparedness and response to the Pacific Palisades wildfires in January 2025.
Today’s letter is part of the senators’ ongoing efforts to examine the deadly Palisades Fire in Los Angeles that resulted in billions of dollars in property damage and the tragic loss of life. This follows letters sent last month to former Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Fire Chief Kristin Crowley and interim Fire Chief Ronnie Villanueva, requesting information on the LAFD’s response to the Palisades fires.
