Los Angeles, August 1, 2025 — Following a successful world premiere, 80-show run of this Broadway-style ballet in the spring of 2025, World Ballet Company will tour The Great Gatsby Ballet in Fall 2025 to 50+ new cities nationwide.

The dazzling new show adapts the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel of ill-fated love and the American Dream into ballet form, taking audiences straight into the lavish decadence of the Roaring Twenties. The production features sensual and stunning choreography (including acrobatics!) performed to an original, lively jazz score; sumptuous sets fused with multimedia and projection effects; and glamorous, hand-sewn costumes that capture the allure of the Jazz Age. Add in a live singer and a couple of Charleston dance sequences, and this is ballet like it’s never been seen before.

Rave reviews have poured in from across the country, including:

“A beautiful ballet production” … “the audience is carried away to another time and place.” “[The dancers] dance with such passion and commitment … their movements are visceral and emotional.” – LA Dance Chronicle

“I was impressed.” … “The backgrounds and lighting were beautiful and the choreography was exciting.” “Daring lifts and engaging storytelling.” – The Epoch Times

“Audiences were wowed by many things WBC brought to the stage [including] an art deco-inspired set, a lively score, brilliant choreography and lavish costumes… . The entire show thrummed with energy.” – VC Reporter

According to audience surveys, more than 60 percent of World Ballet Company audiences experience ballet for the first time with these productions, which is crucial to the company’s mission: Ballet Everywhere, Ballet For All.
