The very best landscaping in the 6th Aldermanic District is once again being sought by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs as entries are now being accepted for the 2025 6th District Landscape Awards. Special recognition for outstanding residential garden or landscaping efforts is sought, and residents are invited to nominate a neighbor or themselves for a property that is especially eye-catching or has been well landscaped.

Alderwoman Coggs has long been committed to consistently supporting and encouraging the beautification and improvement of neighborhoods, and the 6th District Landscape Awards are a part of her Clean City Project.

“Neighborhood beautification can go a long way toward enhancing pride and engagement in an area, and at the heart of neighborhood beautification are residents who work diligently to maintain their properties to help improve overall quality of life,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “If you or someone you know lives in the 6th District and goes above and beyond to beautify their home, I would encourage you to nominate them for this award.”

To be considered, nominees’ names and addresses should be emailed to mcoggs@milwaukee.gov, and supporting digital photos are also recommended. Nominations are due by the close of business on Friday, September 26.
