WisDems Deal Final Blow to Musk’s Short-Lived and Disastrous Political Spending Career
Musk is reportedly stepping back from spending in politics after spending millions on the GOP’s disastrous attempt to elect Brad Schimel to the Supreme Court
MADISON, Wis. — After spending over $25 million in his failed attempt to buy himself a Supreme Court seat, Elon Musk is taking a step back from spending in politics. His disastrous involvement led, in part, to Schimel losing by 10 points to now Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Susan Crawford.
In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“With Musk slinking off the political stage, it’s now clear that Crawford’s victory over Schimel wasn’t just a win for Wisconsin, it was a victory against oligarchy nationwide.
“The collapse of Musk’s political ambitions is just a foretaste of the MAGA meltdown that will unfold over the next four years, in Wisconsin and across the country. Trump, like Musk, amasses money and power for himself, but all the politicians who debase themselves to gain his support wind up losing the trust of the electorate.
“Wisconsin Republicans should take note: the richest man in the world can’t save them. If they stick with Trump, they’ll be washed away by a blue wave in 2026.”
