Bireley Breaks All-Time Goals Record in BIG EAST Opening Win at Butler Saturday
Bireley now all-time leader in points and goals at Marquette
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Marquette University women’s lacrosse senior attacker Meg Bireley broke the all-time goals record on Saturday in MU’s 16-5 BIG EAST opening win over Butler on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (6-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) led 9-2 at half and held the Bulldogs scoreless in the second quarter. Bireley had four of MU’s first nine goals.
Marquette held Butler to just three goals the last three quarters.
Tess Osburn tied her career-high of six points with two goals and a career-high four assists.

- Meg Bireley became the all-time leader in shots with 437 for her career.
- Isabelle Casucci had her second hat trick of the season.
