MADISON – As voters head to the polls on April 1 to elect a new Wisconsin State Supreme Court Justice, Wisconsin Conservation Voters is raising concerns over Brad Schimel’s potential impact on the state’s environment.

Schimel, who served as Attorney General under the anti-conservation Scott Walker administration, has a record of protecting corporate polluters at the expense of Wisconsin’s natural resources.

A new video featuring Tom Dawson, former head of the Environmental Protection Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, sheds light on Schimel’s troubling history. Dawson, who worked with both Democrat and Republican Attorneys General, describes how Schimel repeatedly failed to hold corporate polluters accountable, allowing them to escape legal consequences.

As outside money floods the state, including donations from figures like Elon Musk and other billionaire Trump allies, Wisconsin voters are being bombarded with misleading ads. The video shows why Schimel is unfit to serve on the State Supreme Court and why he’s a disaster for Wisconsin’s environment and democracy.

Wisconsin Conservation Voters has endorsed and are encouraging voters to support Judge Susan Crawford, a candidate committed to protecting the state’s environment and upholding democratic values.
