WWBIC Announces New Role for Wendy K. Baumann
Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) President/Chief Visionary Officer Wendy K. Baumann will be stepping down from her position at WWBIC as of February 14th, and taking the position of Wisconsin DFI Secretary as of February 17th.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Wendy for her exemplary leadership and dedication to WWBIC,” says Kate Hill, WWBIC Board Chair. “Under her stewardship, WWBIC has assisted thousands of entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities with ‘Putting Their Dreams to Work’ through training, business assistance and access to capital. Wendy’s legacy will always remain a part of WWBIC’s culture and provide the foundation for continued growth.
“With her departure, the senior WWBIC Leadership Team will lead WWBIC operations until a new President is identified through our nationwide search and transition effort. This transition marks the end of an era but the beginning of another where Wendy will continue to serve Wisconsin in her new role for the State of Wisconsin. We wish her all the best and are confident that she will continue to make a profound difference in safeguarding the 21st century economy for all Wisconsinites.”
