Neubauer Wins Reelection
RACINE, Wis. – Following the election results in Assembly District 66, Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) has been reelected to the State Assembly. Neubauer released the following statement:
“Since I was elected to the State Assembly in 2018, I have worked to win fair maps that would give voters a real choice and allow them to hold legislators accountable. It’s very good for our democracy to have as many competitive elections as possible, and I enjoyed introducing myself to new people across the district this year. I appreciate my opponent Dave Degroot’s interest in representing the people of Racine County and look forward to working with him in his role as Mt. Pleasant Village President.
“We have a lot of work to do in the years ahead, and I am excited to get back to it. With a whole lot of new Democratic legislators coming into office, I am ready to fight for good, sustainable jobs, expand access to quality healthcare and housing, invest in our schools, protect our rights, and build a Wisconsin where all are welcome and have the opportunity to thrive. It’s a tall order, but I believe in us.
“Thank you to the voters for showing up and making your voices heard. I am honored, I am grateful, and I am ready to work hard for and with our community.”
