Help the Victims of Hurricane Helene Through the ‘WISN 12 Hurricane Relief Drive’

Partnering with the American Red Cross, WISN 12 is collecting donations for those impacted by the catastrophic storm

MILWAUKEE, WI (October 1, 2024) – The ‘WISN 12 Hurricane Relief Drive,’ in partnership with the American Red Cross, will provide critical support for people who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Viewers can make donations online right now by visiting http://wisn.com/redcross or by calling into the WISN 12 phone bank on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“It’s such a devastating situation for so many people across several states,” says Jan Wade, president and general manager of WISN 12. “Lives have been lost and others have lost everything” added Wade. “The relief drive aims to provide some essential assistance as people try to recover and rebuild.”

Hurricane Helene has claimed dozens of lives and caused extensive damage throughout the Southeastern United States. This record-setting storm has brought flash flooding, damaging winds, dangerous tornadoes, and more.

“Our hearts go out to everyone impacted,” shares Wade. “These people need our help. And we know the generous and kind viewers of Southeastern Wisconsin always step up in these times of need.”
