MOTOR Bar & Restaurant Launches Bold New Menu–And it’s Smoking Hot

MILWAUKEE, WI (Monday, August 12, 2024) – MOTOR Bar & Restaurant, the world’s only restaurant owned by Harley-Davidson, is thrilled to announce the unveiling of its highly anticipated new menu. This marks the first significant update since 2018, bringing exciting new flavors and dishes to Milwaukee’s dining scene while honoring the restaurant’s rich heritage.

Nestled on the scenic Menomonee River and located on the Harley-Davidson Museum campus, MOTOR Bar & Restaurant has been a staple in Milwaukee’s vibrant culinary scene since its opening in 2008. Led by the talented Executive Chef Doug Stringer, MOTOR is known for its commitment to quality, serving American fare with a strong focus on BBQ, made from scratch.

“Our new menu is about delivering bold, smoky flavors that our guests love, while also offering the variety they’ve been asking for,” said Chef Doug Stringer. “We’ve leaned into our BBQ roots, using our smokers to enhance dishes like the smoked chicken wings and the requested return of the smoked BBQ shrimp flatbread, and even infusing smoked flavors into our new pasta entrées.”

The new menu reflects a deep respect for tradition, modern culinary trends, and customer feedback. Smoky new offerings, such as the Softail® Smoked Shrimp Pasta and Bobber Strip Steak, pay homage to Harley-Davidson’s iconic bikes while delivering rich, robust flavors. The introduction of a full entrée section, including the return of ribs—absent from the menu for several years—caters to guests’ requests for larger portions and greater variety. Additionally, while monthly specials continue to provide fresh, unique offerings, the staple menu will now change seasonally to keep the dining experience dynamic and exciting.

Guests will also notice a complete redesign of the menu itself, which now prominently features images that capture the history and spirit of the Harley-Davidson brand. In collaboration with the archives team at the museum, the MOTOR team selected archival photos and drawings that best represent Harley-Davidson’s legacy, including a single engine from 1903, one of the first V-twin engines, and the Serial 1—the original Harley-Davidson bike. These images were the inspiration for the hand-drawn images on the new menu. This creates a visually striking menu that serves as both a culinary guide and a tribute to Harley-Davidson’s heritage.
