DOA Announces Flexible Facilities Program Open Application Period
$107 Million Available for Local Digital Connectivity Facility Projects
MADISON, WI — The Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) today announced the opening of the application period for the Flexible Facility Program (FFP). Under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the U.S. Department of Treasury awarded Wisconsin $107 million through the Capital Projects Fund (CPF) to construct or improve buildings and purchase digital connectivity equipment.
“Governor Evers has made digital connectivity a priority for our communities, and this program will help expand broadband access and adoption to many more places around the state that may not have the funds to undertake such infrastructure improvements otherwise,” said DOA Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld. “We’re grateful for the support from Governor Evers and our Federal partners in making this funding available for Wisconsin.”
Applicants can submit up to two project applications (one for new facility construction and one for existing facility renovation or expansion). The maximum award for a project is $4.25 million. Applications are due no later than July 11, 2024 at 2pm. Relevant materials, including program timelines, grant announcement, application, and application training webinar details are available on the Flexible Facilities Program webpage.
FFP is being administered by the DOA Division of Housing, Energy and Community Resources. More information on the Capital Projects Fund program can be found at Treasury’s program webpage.
